About Hei & Honey

Emily Finau

Originally from Hawaiʻi and now based in Utah, Hei & Honey Floral began when I was 13 years old, creating and selling leis through social media. What started as a creative outlet and a love for lei making has since grown into a full-on passion for flowers.

With seven years of lei-making experience and three years in formal floral design, I believe flowers are more than beautiful details. They tell stories, honor relationships, and create lasting memories. That's why I take a personal approach to every project, getting to know each client and designing with their unique style, story, and celebration in mind.

The HEI in Hei & Honey

"Hei" comes from my middle name, Ariihei, a name passed down from my great-grandmother. In Tahitian, Ariihei means "the queen's lei," a meaning that has become especially close to my heart over time. I've always had a creative spirit, but in recent years, flowers have become my medium.

Hei & Honey would not be possible without the support of my husband, family, and close friends. When I'm not working with flowers, you'll most likely find me spending time with them. The relationships I cherish and the experiences we share inspire my work and remind me that the most meaningful parts of life are rooted in connection.
